What We Do
Hersey’s House of Hope provides a range of essential services tailored to the unique needs of women. At the core of its mission is the provision of emergency shelter. For women who find themselves without a safe and stable place to live, the organization offers a warm and welcoming space where they can rest, recharge, and begin the journey toward rebuilding their lives.
Beyond emergency shelter, Hersey’s House of Hope also offers transitional housing. This program provides women with a longer-term living arrangement as they work towards securing permanent housing. During their stay in transitional housing, women have access to a variety of supportive services, including job training and placement, counseling, and support groups.
Recognizing that food and clothing are basic necessities, Hersey’s House of Hope provides these items to women in need. The organization’s food pantry is stocked with non-perishable food items, fresh produce, and other essentials. Additionally, women can access a clothing closet where they can select clothing and personal care items that suit their needs.
To empower women and help them achieve self-sufficiency, Hersey’s House of Hope offers job training and placement services. The organization partners with local businesses and organizations to provide women with opportunities to gain valuable skills and experience. Job training programs cover a wide range of industries, including customer service, retail, and hospitality.
